Step In Is A 5th Grade Component designed to promote a series of weekly/biweekly life-skills workshop groups, with a focus on confidence/self esteem, etiquette and communication skills prior to entering middle school.
Step Up is designed to foster the relationship between Mentor and Mentee for Middle School girls focusing on issues surrounding self esteem, self worth, confidence and leadership and to stimulate collective thoughts between young women.
Step Out is a high school program designed to develop the long term relationship between Mentor and Mentee with a focus on self esteem, self worth, confidence training, leadership training, life skills, finances, college readiness and life after high school.
Facilitated through workshops, blogs, presentations, forums and "real talk" discussions, Kenya Speaks was created as a platform of MYIHNDS to provide a safe haven for victims of sexual abuse to speak their own truths, offer peer support and encouragement in a non-judgemental forum.

DIP is a platform of MYIHNDS, created as peer mentoring group for young women of incarcerated parents. Facilitated through onsite programs, Peer Mentors come together to provide support, advocacy and awareness in an effort to encourage self-reliance and break stereotypes by giving hope, options and resources, thus enabling productive young women with purpose.

A U.S. Army veteran and native of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Saundra has a passion for mentoring, teaching, coaching and inspiring young people. She believes that everyone has an obligation to play an integral role in our society, finding that role and making it your passion should be your mission. Saundra holds a BA in Spanish from Shepherd University with a minor in Sociology. In her full time career, she is employed as a Branch Manager for AppleOne Employment Services (Newport News, VA).
Saundra lives a very active, spiritually guided and service oriented lifestyle. She currently serves as Chair of the Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS) Program Coordinating Committee of Suffolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority, Ambassador - Girls On The Run international, Head Coach of Girls On The Run (Taylor Bend YMCA), Ambassador, Black Girls Run (Hampton Roads) and has been a member of Divine Baptist Church since relocating to Hampton Roads in 2013 under the leadership of Reverend Dr. Tommy P. Smith. Saundra serves as Chair of the Christian Education Ministry, Vice Superintendent of Sunday School and Sunday School Teacher. She is also an active member of the Divine Unity Choir.
Saundra currently resides in Suffolk, VA with her husband LTC. (Retired) Wendell K. Johnson. Together they have 8 Adult Children and 4 grandchildren.
